According to the BBC, The King’s piano and 1955 recording contract will be sold to the highest bidder next month in Memphis. Presley purchased the white, grand piano in 1957 and kept it at his Graceland home. It is expected to be sold for more than $1 million. His RCA records contract, signed by Presley, his father, Vernon, and his manager, Col. Tom Parker, might go for as much as $150,000.

And those aren’t the only items that will be available from Heritage Auctions on August 14. Also included are Elvis’ Graceland purchase agreement from ’57, Presley’s four-page love letter to girlfriend Anita Wood, gold-framed sunglasses and The King’s address and phone book.

This isn’t the only Elvis auction to make news recently. As Gibson.com reported, instruments that were allegedly tools used in Presley’s autopsy were going to go on sale in Chicago, but were withdrawn after there were doubts about their authenticity.
