Randy Rhoads with Quiet Riot: Live in the ’70s on Sunset Strip

Though he’s best remembered for his blazing guitar work in service of Ozzy Osbourne’s early solo career, by then Randy Rhoads was already a well-known ax god in SoCal rock circles. Indeed, Rhoads and the first incarnation of Quiet Riot were key figures in helping push the Sunset Strip’s early glam-metal scene into nation prominence. Here are a trio of performances by Randy, the late Kevin Dubrow, and QR, videotaped in their ’78/’79 prime at West Hollywood’s rock club landmark, the Whiskey.
