This was the first time Brian and I had managed to rehearse since the gig. He was on tour with Public Enemy, and I had a long video shoot in New York to attend to, as well as a trip to the West Coast to visit several companies and spend some time at
EQ magazine. I had toyed with the idea of writing some songs while on the road, but then I realized – what’s the point? Whenever we get together and jam, the sound is so inspiring riffs just kind of sprout out of the guitar, Brian captures them with his Roland R09, and next thing you know, we have a song. Actually we got two songs today! I’ll get into more about how the Digital Les Paul affects songwriting in a future post after I’ve gathered my thoughts about it a little more.
