Glenn Hughes Performs with Mel Galley's '68 Les Paul

David Harrison | 09.22.2008

This past weekend, Glenn Hughes performed in his hometown of Wolverhampton, England, at a venue called The Robin 2. It was a very special “Evening with Glenn Hughes” and featured a very moving tribute to the late Mel Galley, former Trapeze and Whitesnake guitarist. At one point, he was joined on-stage by Mel’s widow, Annette Galley.

Glenn played Mel’s 1968 Les Paul, affectionately named “Black Beauty” by Mel, who wrote many Trapeze and Whitesnake songs with it.

There are also some additional pix in the review at the local newspaper’s Web site.
