Gibson Brings Innovation to the City of Light

Gibson will exhibit at The Reed Expositions France, in collaboration with the Chambre Syndicale de la Facture Instrumentale (CSFI).  The event is set for the 2nd Salon de la Musique et du Son (The Music and Sound Show) at Paris Expo, Porte de Versailles Sept. 12– Sept. 15, 2008.

“The Chambre Syndicale de la Facture Instrumentale (CSFI) and Salon de la Musique et du Son (The Music and Sound Show) is an extraordinary, international event that showcases Paris' music in all its forms, from classical to pop to jazz,” said Henry Juszkiewicz, Chairman and CEO of Gibson Guitar.  “Gibson Guitar will showcase some of the most innovative products available today and give guests a sneak peak at the new Epiphone and Gibson USA Slash Goldtop models.”

For the first time ever, Gibson will exhibit in booth C48 in Hall 4. Visitors to the booth will have a chance to experience the latest Gibson and Epiphone models, visit with some of France’s most popular musicians and jam in the Guitar Play Area. Among the guitar leader’s highlights are the Gibson USA Les Paul Standard 2008, the Gibson Custom Les Paul Axcess and the Slash Epiphone and Gibson USA Goldtop guitars which will be available at authorized dealers worldwide on October 7, 2008.

Gibson artists who will make special appearances at the booth include Francois Maigret from No One Is Innocent, Michel Giovannotti from Superbus, Manu Eveno from Tryo, and Henry Padovani from the Flying Padovanis. Guests can view a full musician’s schedule at the booth daily.  Demos will also take place daily.

The Salon de la Musique et du Son (The Music and Sound Show) will take place at Hall 4 at the Paris Expo. There will be over 20,000 sq m of space where the professional and amateur visitors will find everything that involves music: instruments and accessories, music publishing, professional audio equipment, music software and hardware, teaching institutions, training and the institutional players.
