MCM Entertainment's syndicated radio show Planet Rock, which is the three-hour program broadcast on Sunday evenings in 58 markets around the country, polled listeners on who they thought was the most popular guitarist in the land and the results, which contain a brilliant cross section of Australia's guitar talent, are as follows:
1. The Young Brothers - Angus and Malcolm - AC/DC
2. Ian Moss - Cold Chisel
3. Marty Willson-Piper - The Church
4. Davey Lane - You Am I, The Pictures
5. Andrew Stockdale - Wolfmother
6. Murray Wiggle
7. Harry Vanda - The Easybeats
8. Kevin Borich - La De Das, Kevin Borich Express
9. Chris Cheney - The Living End
10. Ed Kuepper - The Saints, Laughing Clowns
Others who polled well but did not make the final Top 10 included John Butler, Keith Urban, Diesel, and Daniel Johns.
