Phish Announce 3-Day Festival for Halloween Weekend

Ellen Mallernee | 07.02.2009

After a five-year hiatus, Phish has kicked up the dust on its reunion tour in the U.S. this summer, and if the cryptic announcement on its Web site is any indication, things aren’t slowing down anytime soon.

“Save the date... A 3-day festival 10/30, 10/31, 11/01,” reads the Phish.com homepage, which has a map of the 50 states flickering menacingly at you and plays spooky music. Exact locations of the festival haven’t been revealed.

In March, Phish took the stage in Hampton, Va., to reintroduce itself to fans, and last month it played two sweaty, insanely amazing nights at the Bonnaroo music festival in Manchester, Tenn. Tour reviews have been largely enthusiastic, as the band leads up to the late summer release of its new album Joy.

More Phish tour dates:

July 30-31, Aug. 1-2 - Morrison, Colo., Red Rocks Amphitheatre
Aug. 5 - Mountain View, Calif., Shoreline Amphitheatre (5)
Aug. 7-8 - George, Wash., The Gorge
