Cropper, Feliciano and Juszkiewicz
Guitar Festival in Nashville

Gibson Guitar Chairman and CEO, Henry Juszkiewicz, hung out with Steve Cropper and Jose Feliciano backstage after The Third Annual Gibson & Nashville Chamber Orchestra Guitar Festival (April 14-16). Gibson has served as the title sponsor since the inception of this unique festival, which featured world famous and contemporary guitarists such as John Jorgenson, Gary Morse, Jose Feliciano and Michael Levine performing with the NCO. The event also included three showcase concerts at the Frist Center for the Arts, The Factory in Franklin and The Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, as well as ten youth concerts at area schools, reaching over 5,000 middle and high school students.

Save the Music

Hard rockers Linkin Park added their signatures to the Gibson LC-1 Cascade guitar at the MTV Radio Network studios this week, while Micky Hart from The Grateful Dead kissed the Epiphone AJ-500R after signing it. Both guitars, which are already covered with numerous celebrity signatures, will be auctioned off to benefit VH1's "Save the Music" program, which raises money for school music programs.





The Best Damn Gibson Period

Hosts of the popular FOX Sports TV program, "The Best Damn Sports Show Period," enjoyed a little down time with a Gibson guitar on set. Chris Rose, John Salley, guest host Drew Rosenhaus, and Rob Dibble hung out and jammed the Gibson.

Camp Cure

Camp Freddy's Billy Morrison proudly displays his completed work of Gibson Guitar art for the upcoming "Rock the Cure" event to benefit breast cancer research in Los Angeles (May 3). Rockers Duran Duran have also painted a guitar to contribute to the cause. Morrison and Duran Duran are only a few of many artists who took time to design and paint Gibson guitars to be auctioned at a gala event at the Hard Rock Cafe.

Antigone Rising

Cathy Henderson of Antigone Rising rocked a Gibson Chet Atkins during the live acoustic recording of From the Ground Up, Antigone's debut album (May 11). From the Ground Up will be available exclusively in Starbucks.


Gibson Champions

Tennis stars Michael and Bob Bryan jammed on the new Gibson digital guitar and an Epiphone AJ-500R before playing with their band at an onsite Gala during their semi-finals match in Monte Carlo. Afterwards, the Bryan brothers flew into Houston for the U.S. Claycourt Championships at the Westside Tennis Club. From there, the brothers will jet around the world to cities including Rome, Hamburg, Dsseldorf and the French Open for upcoming tournaments.





Take Steinberger Out to the Ballgame

TBS play-by-play announcer and veteran sportscaster Chip Carey settles down in the broadcast booth before every game with his Steinberger guitar. Carey, who has played the guitar for many years, entertains other sportscasters regularly between innings at all the Major League Baseball games.

Sonic Soniko

Javier Guelle, one of the Latin rockers in Soniko, has been rocking his new Les Paul Baritone, and has helped Soniko remain among the top ten bands on MTV Espanol for the last eight weeks. "I love being able to expand my sound with the extra three frets," raved Javier.




Signing On

Country music legend Dolly Parton signed on for the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, Lincoln Mark LT/Gibson Guitar Auction. Dolly added her name to the leather headrest of the 2006 Lincoln Mark LT, which was already signed by dozens of country entertainers, and was auctioned off at the end of April. All proceeds benefit the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.

Band-Girls-Money

Rockers Tsar recently shot a video for "Band-Girls-Money" in New York for their upcoming album of the same name, and starred with.you guessed it.their Gibsons! Tsar's album Band-Girls-Money is due out June 7th.

Juliet Hits the Road

Rockers Susan Hyatt and Geoff Tyson of Juliet are rocking a white SG and an Epi bass (respectively) during their tour with Duran Duran. The groups will embark on the second part of their tour in late May, which will take them all over Europe, including Spain, England, Holland and Italy.

All Shook Up

Epiphones are shaking up the "All Shook Up" window promotion at Macy's in Manhattan, where Broadway meets 34th Street. The Epiphones are used in the Broadway hit "All Shook Up," a new musical comedy which is structured around Elvis Presley's hits.
