Jerry Douglas Dobro Contest Rules

OFFICIAL RULES

1. HOW TO ENTER: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE DOES NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. Enter online at http://www.gibson.com/contests/Douglasdobro.html. Complete the form and submit. To enter by regular postal mail, send your name address, telephone number(s) and email address to Jerry Douglas Dobro Contest, c/o Sugar Hill Records, 501 Washington Street, Suite A,Durham, NC 27701. Contest begins at 12:01pm CDT on 6/01/02. All entries must be received or postmarked by 11:59pm CDT, 7/31/02. Only one entry will be accepted per person, email address or postal address. More frequent entries will be disqualified.

2. SPONSORS: Sugar Hill Records, 501 Washington Street, Suite A, Durham, NC 27701 and Gibson Original Acoustic Instruments, 309 Plus Park Blvd., Nashville TN 37217.

3. SELECTION OF WINNERS: Winners of the Grand prize will be determined in a random drawing to be conducted on or about 08/15/02 by selected employees of Sponsosr from all eligible entries received. Odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received. Winners will be notified by U.S. mail. The winner must accept prize and provide social security number and may be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility and release. Prize may be awarded to alternate winner if affidavit is not returned within 14 days after mailing notification to winner or if prize notification or prize is returned as undeliverable. Winners agree to use of name and likeness for promotional purposes without additional compensation to the extent permitted by law.

4. PRIZE: One (1) Grand Prize: Gibson Jerry Douglas Signature Dobro. ARV of prize is $4.111.00 U.S. Sponsors responsible only for prize delivery.

5. ELIGIBILITY: Contest open to individual legal residents of the United States and the District of Columbia, age 18 or older, except employees (or members of their immediate families or same household) of Gibson Guitar Corp., Inc. and Sugar Hill Records its affiliates, judges, agents and advertising and promotion agencies.

6. WINNERS LIST: To obtain winners list, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope by U.S. mail to Sugar Hill Records, 501 Washington Street, Suite A, Durham, NC 27701. Requests must be received by 07/15/02. Winner's list will be sent after selection of winner.

7. MISCELLANEOUS/DISCLAIMERS: No illegible, incomplete, forged or altered entries will be accepted. Contest representatives not responsible for late, lost, stolen, damaged, garbled, incomplete, misaddressed or misdirected entries, for errors, omissions, interruptions, deletions, defects, delays in operations or transmission of information, in each case whether arising by way of technical or other failures or malfunctions of computer hardware, software, communications devices, or transmission lines or data corruption, theft, destruction, unauthorized access to or alteration of entry materials, loss or otherwise. Only one entry will be accepted per person, email address or postal address. More frequent entries will be disqualified. All entries become the exclusive property of Sponsor and will not be returned to entrants.
This offer is void outside of the United States and the District of Columbia and where prohibited or restricted by law. This offer is subject to applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Taxes and fees are the sole responsibility of prize winners. This Contest will be governed by the internal laws of the State of Tennessee. Any and all legal actions or claims arising in connection with this Contest must be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction within the United States of America. By participating in this Contest, each entrant accepts the conditions stated in these Official Rules, agrees to be bound by the decisions of the judges, and warrants that s/he is eligible to participate in this Contest. By accepting prize, winner agrees to release Sponsor, its directors, employees, officers, and agents, including without limitation, its advertising and promotion agencies, from any and all liability, loss or damages arising from or in connection with the awarding, receipt, and/or use or misuse of prize or participation in any prize-related activities.

8. CAUTION. ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATIONS OF THE Contest IS A VIOLATION OF THE CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS. SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH ENTRANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
