I've been a fan of Gibson's Les Paul the entirety of my 20yrs of playing guitar. Professionally for rich tone and pure power nothing can touch a Les Paul . So you can imagine my total and utter heart break when my first Les Paul was stolen from a studio I was recording in back in the 90's, something I never got over. Ten years later I'm at the 2007 NAMM show and catch my first glimpse of the Les Paul BFG. From that moment on I was in love and had to have one. It's replaced my main stage guitar and is just a sonic explosion when I hit the stage. Both my current bands love the new tone and look of my BFG and I can kick the sh*t out of it and not worry about dings and scratches because...well, it's already dinged and scratched in a most glorious way. What can I say but nice job Gibson for delivering a truly original and mean as f*ck Les Paul. Keep up the great work!
