Gibson Guitar Hosts Innovative New Products at Musikmesse 2008

Gibson and Epiphone Guitars, Wurlitzer Jukeboxes and TC Electronics Share the Stage March 12 -15, 2008 in Frankfurt am Main

Frankfurt, Germany…..March 11, 2008……Gibson Guitar, the world’s premier musical instrument manufacturer and leader in music technology will exhibit a host of products at this year’s Frankfurt Musikmesse, March 12 – 15, 2008 CES, Hall 4.2, F19. Along with the exhibits, guests can expect daily visits from some of the world’s best known musicians. Musikmesse is the world’s leading international trade fair for musical instruments now celebrating 25 years. With over 1, 600 exhibitors from 48 countries, Musikmesse 2008 will break new attendance records.

Gibson will showcase a new Gibson Robot Les Paul guitar and a Gibson SG Robot guitar model. The Gibson Robot Guitar, a self-tuning guitar originally set the industry on fire in December with record sales and major media attention. These two new installments of the most innovative guitar model to become available will be exclusively highlighted in the Gibson Guitar booth. The Gibson HD.6X Pro digital guitar system will also highlight the Gibson booth.

Gibson USA will also highlight the new Gibson Les Paul Standard ’08 featuring new neck tenon design, chambered body, upgraded electronics, Tone Pros locking bridge and tailpiece and Burstbucker Pro Pickups. The new Gibson Les Paul Traditional guitar will highlight the exhibit and features a weight relieved, non-chambered body with a 70s-80s era small neck tenon. Other features include Vintage Style tuning keys and 57 Classic Plus Bridge pick up and 57 Classic neck pickup. Highlights of artist inspired models offered by Gibson USA include the Nikki Sixx Thunderbird Bass with 9-ply neck-through construction, AAA Maple wings, mirrored pickguard with Nikki’s signature and Double X logo and ebony fingerboard with Red X markers. A satin black cherry finish, volume tone kill switch electronics and a Custom red snakeskin case are features exclusively designed with the legendary rocker.

System of the Down fans can view the Shavo Thunderbird Bass with an elongated headstock for tone enhancement, swamp ash wings, Custom black chrone Shamrock tuners and Satin platinum finish with a brush platinum pickguard. Shavo designed the beard logo Truss rod-cover and Custom case with his signature beard logo.

Guests will also view the nostalgia of the best-selling One More Time Wurlitzer Jukebox, the 2100 Wurlitzer Jukebox and the new Wurlitzer Peacock Jukebox and select Gibson and Epiphone guitars. Gibson Guitar Chairman and CEO, Henry Juszkiewicz will be available for interviews and artists who are scheduled for daily appearances will be available for press coverage. The Gibson booth has become known as the best place to hang out with musical celebrities and VIPs in the industry. Legendary guitarist Slash will make a special appearance on Friday, March 14, 2008 to launch his three exclusive Slash Signature Models which will be for sale in a limited quantity on April 1, 2008 worldwide. Gibson and Slash have collaborated on the Gibson Custom, Gibson USA and Epiphone Slash model guitars. All will be on display at the Gibson booth.
