Arthur Hanlon, the first pianist to reach number one on Billboard’s tropical airplay charts, has partnered with Baldwin to give away a Hamilton Grand piano to one lucky winner live, November 24, on Telefutura network’s top show Escandolo TV. Arthur will perform “La Gorda Linda” on his prized blue Baldwin grand piano.

The lucky winner, who was chosen from thousands who submitted their “compliments to La Gorda Linda” on www.univision.com, will get to meet Arthur and pick up a Hamilton Baldwin Grand on live on air. The contest marks the first time that a Latin market hosts a contest to give away so valuable an instrument.

“It took me five years to pay off my first grand piano,” says Hanlon, who got his masters degree in piano performance from the world renowned Manhattan School of Music in New York. “Having the opportunity to give one person the same joy my piano has given me makes me extremely happy. There is no gift like the gift of music."

Hanlon, an Irish American, developed his unique blend of Latin Rhythms and American pop while living in New York City and has a multi album recording contract with leading Latin label Fonovisa Records. He composed "La Gorda Linda"—on his Baldwin grand—as a tribute and celebration of women of all shapes and sizes, everywhere.

“La Gorda Linda,” the album, features duets with Grammy winning trumpeter Arturo Sandoval, Grammy winning singer Ana Bárbara and salsa icon Tito Nieves.
