Celebrities lined the red carpet outside The Gibson Amphitheater in anticipation for the 2005 Teen Choice Awards in L.A. (Aug. 16). The most well-known faces in music, television and film all gathered to see who would take home the “Choice” awards including “Choice Comedian” (Adam Sandler), “Choice Music Male Artist” (Jesse McCartney), and “Choice TV Cast” (Desperate Housewives).

Black Eyed Peas

Teen pop star Hilary Duff hosted the ceremony this year, which was sponsored by Seventeen Magazine, and aired on FOX Television Network. Teenagers (13 and 19) were able to vote for their favorites in each awards category, through Seventeen Magazine as well as online. Each category was narrowed down to the top four candidates who received the most votes, and each winner was selected by Seventeen Magazine and the FOX Network.
