Stars customize Gibson guitars for 'AE Jeans Will Rock You' online auction

Gibson Guitar and American Eagle rung in the new school year with “AE Jeans Will Rock You” events in Chicago and New York last week, plus an online auction featuring Gibson guitars customized by The Donnas, The Black Eyed Peas, N.E.R.D., DJ Danger Mouse, The Mooney Suzuki, D12, The Darkness and Ima Robot. Bidding closes on September 2, and all proceeds will go towards VH1’s Save The Music Foundation.

AE Jeans rocked out Chicago and New York with simultaneous concerts in the two cities. Over 1700 people turned out to see The Walkmen and DJ Danger Mouse, who lit up the Flagship Store in SoHo. Attendees included actress Ali Larter, James Debello, Paul Sevigny, Gillian Hearst, and famed publicist Lizzie Grubman. A crowd of 400 attended the performances of Ima Robot and DJ Green Lantern on North Avenue in the Chicago retail store, including celebrity guests Korn, MTV VJ Ellen Cho, Jen Schefft from “The Bachelorette,” Tina “Fabulous” from “The Bachelor,” and Seth Meyers from “SNL.”
