Gibson Foundation Appoints Charles D. Pacunas

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE…Nashville, Tennessee…May 31, 2005. The Gibson Foundation announced today the appointment of Charles D.Pacunas as Executive Director responsible for all philanthropic programs and initiatives under the direction and supervision of the Foundation. The Gibson Foundation is a 501 © (3) entity dedicated to improving the quality of life in communities throughout the United States and the world. This commitment is especially focused on education excellence through music and the arts, protecting the environment and supporting the health and human services of all people.
Pacunas will work with all Gibson Guitar divisions in implementing programs which deliver the objectives of the Gibson Foundation and provide support for music and education in various facets of the industry. He brings over 40 years of leadership experience in advertising, marketing and production. Pacunas currently serves as Senior Vice President for Special Projects at Gibson.Prior to coming to Gibson he served as Vice President for Global Media and Alliances, Burger King, Miami. Prior to that he held executive positions with Minnesota Twins Baseball, and Northwest Airlines in Minneapolis. At Northwest he performed a variety of Corporate Communications and HR functions in addition to handling all philanthropic activities. He is an active, founding Board member of the Minnesota based “Children’s Music and Arts Foundation(CMAF)
