Baldwin artist Arthur Hanlon has been very busy, with TV appearances on "Escandala," "Despierta America" (May 9) and "The Roof," releasing his fourth album, La Gorda Linda, which features guest artist Tito Nieves, and numerous live performances, all while his title track “La Gorda Linda” is tearing up the charts. Currently the single is No. 2 on the BDS tropical airplay charts.

Arthur spent his childhood and college years devoted to classical music. But after moving to Manhattan, he fell in love with the Latino sound, and was hooked for life. La Gorda Linda, covers Arthur’s influences of classical music, blues and latin-pop, all with a heavy piano undercurrent. “It’s Gringo-Latino…American-Latin,” he explains. “It’s got one leg in the states and one leg in Latin America. Boogaloo, in the ‘60s – mix like really New York and Chicago blues with Latin music and that’s my sound.”
