Chart Topping Artists from Around the World Continue to Thrill Audiences on Slingerland Drums

 

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEConway, Arkansas…May 10, 2005, Slingerland Drums, the ultimate in percussion for over 70 years and now produced under the Gibson Guitar brand in the United States, continues to rock the music scene with top musicians performing around the world, thrilling audiences with the legendary Slingerland sounds.

Stereophonics who hold the #1 position in the United Kingdom and throughout Europe are currently on a U.S. tour. Drummer Javier Weyler plays a Slingerland kit on stage and in recording sessions. Chart topping Moby and drummer Scott Frasetto will soon release a new album using the Slingerland drum kit and a one-of-a-kind Tobias bass. Opening throughout the country for Garbage, is The Dead 60s who are also Slingerland fans and popular in the United Kingdom.

Among other touring artists this summer who perform with Slingerland Drums are Kenny Livingston of Sugarcult and Chris Farr who plays with singer/songwriter Johnny A, a Gibson Guitar signature artist. Carmine Appice hits the road on tour this summer with Slingerland.

 All are touring the United States this summer.

Slingerland was founded by H.H. Slingerland in 1912 to produce ukuleles and banjos, and the company introduced its first drums in 1928. Slingerland USA is based in a facility previously used for Baldwin piano production. Baldwin was acquired by Gibson Guitar in 2001.
