Gibson Guitar and The Grammy Foundation have joined together to bring two days of artist Master Classes, featuring the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet and Joe Bonamassa, to the Gibson/Baldwin Showroom in Beverly Hills.

The LAGQ, recent Grammy winners for Best Classical Crossover album, conducted the Master Class on Thursday (April 21) with about 20-25 students. Seven of the students performed on guitar and then were critiqued by the Quartet. The group then gave a performance, which was followed by a question and answer session.

Famed blues guitarist Joe Bonamassa, who recently guested on a Les Paul Tribute album, conducted the Master Class on Friday (April 22). A handful of students performed for Joe and were then critiqued. Joe then performed on a 335 and a Tom Murphy-aged ’59 Les Paul reissue for the students, where a question and answer session was available immediately afterwards. Joe will also be one of the first performers at the newly named Gibson Amphitheater in Los Angeles, where he will perform with Gibson legend B.B. King.
