The Gibson Booth at the Musikmesse Trade Show in Frankfurt, Germany (April 6-9), was swamped with visitors checking out all the latest that Gibson has to offer, including the newest instruments and gear from all Gibson divisions plus Epiphone, Slingerland, Tobias, Valley Arts and Gibson Labs. The booth was hosted by product managers, sales and marketing professionals and technicians from various divisions of Gibson who could provide accurate and up-to-the-minute answers on all the new Gibson technology.

Gibson also presented two hot German bands, Silbermond and Die Toten Hosen, who were at the Gibson booth for exclusive meet-and-greets as well as Greg Lake from Emerson, Lake and Palmer.

Slingerland exhibited new drum kits including the Modern Jazz and Classic V models, along with Radio King snares, while Gibson Custom offered visitors a first-look at all the new Custom models like the Slash Signature Les Paul, the Larry Carlton ES-335, the Steve Howe Signature ES-175, the Jimmy Page Signature model and the Howard Roberts Fusion III guitars.

Gibson Acoustic’s newest feature was The Traveling Songwriter guitar, which features a unique body style that is thin but hollow, and is designed for easy travel. With a custom travel case and built-in tuner, The Traveling Songwriter is virtually ideal for any performing or songwriting situation.

 

Epiphone showed off The Paul McCartney Texan, replicated from the guitar McCartney used on “Yesterday,” as well as new models like the Les Paul Ultra, the Nick Valensi Riviera, two Zakk Wylde Signature guitars: the Buzzsaw and the Camo, the Epiphone “Guitars of the Month” series, and the Masterbilt and Elitist Series which also debuted. Gibson Labs released the newest Amplification line including the GA-5, GA-20RVT, GA-40RVT, GA-50H, GA-412 and the Power Stealth attenuator.
