Gibson will help celebrate the 10th Anniversary of The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame during The CMJ/Rock Hall Music Fest (June 8-11) in Cleveland. The Music Fest will feature as many as 100 artists expected to perform for tens of thousands of music fans in Cleveland.  2005 marks the first time that a new CMJ Festival will join its New York City counterpart among the world’s great music events.

Cleveland, with the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, multiple club and concert venues and a rich musical culture, offers the perfect place to host such an event. The three-day music festival will be held at the Rock Hall, The Festival Village on the West Bank of the Flats and six premier live venues around Cleveland.

As the exclusive musical instrument sponsor of the event, Gibson will sponsor one of the two main stages. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum will host an opening-night concert (June 8), and the two main festival stages will host 10 emerging bands each day from June 9-11. In the evening, live venues, including House of Blues, the Odeon, Peabody’s, Beachland Ballroom, the Agora and the Grog Shop, will host shows.

In cooperation with CMJ, The Rock Hall is accepting online submissions from emerging bands as well as established artists with new music offerings. For band submissions and more information on the CMJ Rock Hall Music Fest, go to www.cmj.com/rockfest.

Gibson will be in full force throughout the three-day music festival, with an interactive booth located at The Rock Hall and in the Festival Village, where a Gibson guitar will be given away each day. Also as part of CMJ/Rock Hall Music Fest, Guitar Player magazine is launching a Guitar Heroes Competition, with the winner receiving a Gibson guitar.
