 The Third Annual Vanity Fair “In Concert” Series was in full force at the end of October with shows held on the east and west coasts with Gibson rockers Camp Freddy. The Magazine’s concert series packed out the Irving Plaza in New York on October 21st, and The Wiltern Theatre in LA on the 23rd. The “In Concert” Series was sponsored by DKNY Jeans and benefited Step Up Women’s Network, a nonprofit, membership organization which is dedicated to strengthening community resources for women and girls, through hands-on community service, mentoring, and fundraising for women’s health and critical issues.
Camp Freddy, made up of Donovan Leitch Jr., Dave Navarro, Billy Morrison and Matt Sorum, highlighted the shows. Special guests Jerry Cantrell (Alice in Chains), Fred Schneider (B52's), Gina Gershon and The Roots appeared in New York, while in LA, guests Gina Gershon, Billy Idol, Steve Stevens, Izzy Stradlin, Duff McKaggin, Slash, Stephen Jenkins, and Macy Gray made appearances.
