Guitar Title: "Cuerpo de Guitarra"
Guitar Concept Statement
"Cuerpo de Guitarra" in Spanish translates to "body shaped like a guitar." This common saying encompasses the beautiful shape of both guitar and the female body. In this design, what appears to be abstract is defined by the lovely shape of a female figure. Her hair symbolizes the free flowing spirit of the music coming from within. The vibrant colors the guitar and her figure represent the music of today while the whimsical tones of her hair embody the great music of yesterday that will always be an influence.
While creating this guitar I was heavily influenced by the classic sounds of Carlos Santana. A long time fan, I was able to once again see him in concert a few months ago. The dreamy, playful hair of the female in historic hues is represented in a psychedelic inspired pattern as homage to the great heroes of classic rock. Rock on!
