Australian rock band Wolfmother has announced that they’d follow their August 8 spot at Lollapalooza in Chicago with nine more U.S. tour dates, including stops at the Sturgis Rally in South Dakota and The Outside Lands Festival in San Francisco.

The tour supports Wolfmother’s 2009 album, Cosmic Egg, with which frontman Andrew Stockdale introduced a new guitarist, bassist and drummer. Despite losing fellow founding members in 2008 due to “irreconcilable personal and musical differences,” Stockdale has maintained the band’s incredible momentum with propulsive singles like “White Feather” and “Far Away.”

Between tour dates, Wolfmother can also be found next month on Lopez Tonight (August 16). No stranger to the late night TV circuit, Stockdale recently performed with Slash on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno, Jimmy Kimmel Live and the Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson to promote the duo’s single “By The Sword,” included on Slash’s new solo album.

Stockdale, whose guitarsenal is loaded with Gibson ES-335s and SGs, formed Wolfmother in 2000 and gained international acclaim in 2005 with Wolfmother’s spot-on psychedelic rock.
