zac brown band dave grohl sessions

Fresh off their critically acclaimed performance with Dave Grohl at the Country Music Association Awards, the Zac Brown Band have announced that they're naming their upcoming album after their producer and collaborator. "He told me he wanted to call it The Grohl Sessions and I was like 'Dude, are you sure you wanna do that?'" said Dave Grohl about the album name in a video posted by the Zac Brown Band. "He's like, 'If you're cool with it.' It's the most flattering thing anyone's ever done for me. It'll be really weird to click on like iTunes and see the record called Grohl Sessions."

Grohl had nothing but praise for the Zac Brown Band, going as far as to say he would love to be a member of the band: "I swear to God, if I wasn't in my band, I'd be in this [expletive] band. I am not kidding, I would be in this band in a [expletive] heartbeat."

The Grohl Sessions Vol. 1 is set for a December 10 iTunes-only release through Southern Ground Artists.
