The Rolling Stones recently released an album of blues covers called Blue & Lonesome, and they’re already gearing up to release another set—this time, original tunes. According to frontman Mick Jagger, things are moving along quickly with the new songs.

Jagger spoke with’s Roger Friedman at Vanity Fair's pre-Oscars party, and he reported, “I’m working on new songs now.”

Blue & Lonesome entered the Billboard 200 chart at No. 4 in December. The album featured blues numbers previously recorded by various blues artists, including Willie Dixon, Jimmy Reed, Eddie Taylor and Howlin’ Wolf. Eric Clapton also appears on the album playing guest guitar on two songs.

So far, the Rolling Stones haven't announced any widespread tour dates for 2017. They do have their own Exhibitionism memorabilia exhibit, which will be on exhibit at New York City's Industria gallery through March 12 and will re-open at Chicago's Navy Pier April 15.
