Survivor Singer Jimi Jamison Dies
Jimi Jamison, singer in the band Survivor, passed away Sunday (August 31) at the age of 63. The singer, who is said to have suffered a heart attack, was found in his Memphis, Tennessee home yesterday by his son.
Jamison took over the lead singer duties in Survivor after Dave Bickler, who recorded "Eye of the Tiger," left the band in 1984. Jimi sang lead on songs like "Burning Heart," and "High on You." He also co-wrote the theme song to the David Hasselhoff series Baywatch.
Survivor said in a statement: "Survivor is very shocked and saddened by the passing of our brother Jimi. Our thoughts, love and prayers go out to his friends and family."
