Neil Young is putting together an online career archive that he says will encompass "every single, recorded track or album I have produced." The news comes via a note Young posted on the Neil Young Archive website.

Young’s Archive will bring together a bevy of material, from Young’s debut 1963 single to unreleased material that he’s still crafting. Everything will appear on a navigable timeline, with the unreleased material being sketched in and appearing when the work is complete.

He explains in the message that visitors will be able to zoom in on images and check out photos, credits, art and more, as well as stream the music. The material will be in high-resolution streaming, using a special system that will automatically be able to know the end user's bandwidth and give them the best audio quality that the bandwidth allows.

The website isn’t live yet, but an image on the site promises it’s “Opening Soon.”

In other news, Young also recently announced that he will issue an archival studio album called Hitchhiker on Sept. 8. He recorded that set live at Indigo Studios in Malibu, California, on Aug. 11, 1976.
