Tool, A Perfect Circle and Puscifer frontman Maynard James Keenan is switching gears from music to writing with a new biography, A Perfect Union of Contrary Things, out this fall. He's also plotting a book tour behind release. As of now, Keenan has only announced two stops – Nov. 9 at Nashville's City Winery and Nov. 16 at Chicago’s Empty Bottle – but is expected to reveal more book tour dates soon. For information and to pre-order the book, go here.

On the book tour, Keenan will talk about A Perfect Union of Contrary Things in a moderated discussion. He’ll also do a Q&A with the audience and read excerpts from the book.

A Perfect Union of Contrary Things will arrive Nov. 8. Keenan co-wrote the biography with his longtime friend Sarah Jensen.

In other news, right before the release of A Perfect Union of Contrary Things, Keenan will perform a handful of U.S. headlining tour dates in October with Tool. The guys will also appear at this year’s Aftershock and Voodoo Music + Arts Experience festivals. My fingers are crossed that Tool will tour more in 2016-- oh, and new music would be great, too.
