Two More From the Stunning Collector’s Choice™ Series
Gibson is pleased to announce two exciting additions to its acclaimed Collector’s Choice™ series. The Collector’s Choice™ #12 1957 Les Paul Goldtop meticulously recreates the original 1957 Goldtop owned by none other than Henry Juszkiewicz, CEO of Gibson Brands. Sporting a thick, mellow tone and the archetypal “gently aged Goldtop” finish, the instrument features two Custom Bucker S pickups recreated to the exact specs and materials of the original PAFs in Mr. Juszkiewicz’s guitar. Other features include a slightly “cheeky,” rounded neck profile that offers that perfect ‘50s playing feel. Learn more about this exceptional guitar here.
Collector's Choice™ #28 1958 Les Paul "STP" Burst captures one of the most storied guitars in the Collector’s Choice™ series—the 1958 ‘burst owned and played by Ronnie Montrose. After passing from Montrose’s hands, this iconic Les Paul went to Peter Weihe of Hamburg, Germany, whose studio work with the instrument has been heard more than 20,000,000 times during Weihe’s illustrious global recording career. Features include a perfectly captured full, rounded ’58 neck profile, traditional truss rod with no sleeve, nylon nut, aged nickel hardware, vintage-color binding, and rosewood fingerboard with aged celluloid trapezoid inlays.
