The nine-date UK tour kicks off on Thursday April 3 at the O2 Apollo Manchester. "I’m thrilled to be coming back home to England and touring with Europe and FM," Foreigner’s founding British member and lead guitarist (and Van Halen 5150 producer) Mick Jones says. "We’re looking forward to having a great time."
Joining Jones in Foreigner is vocalist Kelly Hansen, bass player Jeff Pilson (Dokken, Lynch Mob, Dio) and multi-instrumentalist Tom Gimbel.
Europe will perform songs from their last four albums, plus their classics including "Rock The Night", "Superstitious", "Carrie", "Let The Good Times Rock", "Prisoners In Paradise" and - course - their worldwide No. 1 rock anthem "The Final Countdown."
The original line-up will be performing: Joey Tempest (vocals), John Norum (guitars), Mic Michaeli (keyboards), John Levén (bass) and Ian Haugland (drums).
FM, who re-emerged in 2007 after a 12 year sabbatical with a headline performance at a sold-out Firefest IV, will be opening the concerts on the upcoming UK tour. Earlier this year, FM released two critically-acclaimed albums, Rockville and companion album, Rockville II. And both feature the Gibson basses of Merv Goldsworthy.
