Dead Daisies

The Dead Daisies comprise members of everyone from Motley Crue to Whitesnake, and the rock supergroup is back with their fourth studio album. The collection, titled Burn It Down, will arrive on April 6.

The group brings together John Corabi (Motley Crue), guitarist Doug Aldrich (Whitesnake, Dio), bass player Marco Mendoza (Whitesnake, Thin Lizzy), guitarist David Lowy (Red Phoenix, Mink) and drummer Deen Castronovo (Journey).

Aldrich is a longtime Gibson player. "I’ve got dozens of Gibsons in my collection," Aldrich told Gibson.com in a recent interview. "I don’t know if you’re addicted to anything, but I’m addicted to buying guitars and finding deals on them. I figure at my age, I have two kids at home and a wife, and I need money, and I shouldn’t be doing this! (Laughs) I just bought another Gibson guitar, and I love it. It’s a Chet Atkins model and I got it for some acoustic stuff."

He added, "I have a Goldtop Les Paul '57 reissue that’s my main touring guitar. I have a few Godtop Les Pauls, one in particular that I really love. I love Goldtops, because when I was a kid, that was my first good guitar."

In addition to the new tunes, the Dead Daisies will hit the road on a 2018 tour. As of now, they've only announced European tour dates, but the band promises shows in North America, Japan and South America this year. For the band's full roster of tour dates, visit TheDeadDaisies.com.
