Comments
Jimmy Page has reportedly rebuffed a fan’s grassroots campaign to honor Led Zeppelin with their own award and ceremony at Hollywood’s famed RockWalk museum and outdoor gallery. Page himself was inducted into the Sunset Blvd. venue in December, 1993, placing his handprints in cement alongside many of the greatest musicians of the rock era. England’s New Music Express reported that American fan Rocky Dickerson had conceived the idea after flying over to attend last December’s Led Zeppelin reunion at the Ahmet Ertegun Tribute Concert in London. Dickerson requested written permission from the band members and its management to proceed with the nomination, but was turned down by a spokesman for Jimmy Page.
