Although Rossington took an array of guitars into the studio, ultimately he settled on his trusty Les Pauls for his new album, Take It on Faith. “I always use Les Pauls,” he explained, speaking with Premier Guitar. “With Skynyrd, I always used my ’59 Les Paul the whole time until 1977. I just use reissue Les Paul Standards now.”

Aerosmith’s Brad Whitford Joins Experience Hendrix Tour

The Aerosmith guitarist joins an array of top-notch musicians already announced for the tour, which kicks off Feb. 17 in Portland, Oregon. Buddy Guy, Zakk Wylde, Dweezil Zappa, Keb’ Mo’ and band of Gypsys bassist Billy Cox, among others, are confirmed as participants. Organizers consider the 2017 trek the most ambitious Experience Hendrix tour to date.
