Nick Hexum and his band 311 have been rocking together for more than 25 years, and that's a good thing, since the group is known for their tight, high-octane live show.

Along the way, Hexum has championed Gibson guitars, whether that's touring and recording with 311 or as a solo artist.

What draws Hexum to Gibson?

"The feel, the tone, the look, the whole package," he told Gibson.com. "Gibsons are always warm enough and then when add the chimey-ness of a P-90 through my Analogman King of Tone overdrive and that baby just sings!"

"So many Gibsons in my collection!" he added. "Sometimes I thought I’d need an intervention to stop me from searching for the next perfect hollow body. I have a 1961 ES-330, a 1970 ES-335, two modern ES-355s and a modern ES-335..."

The 311 crew is on the road this summer with a tour wrapping up the end of August.
