It's time to get Haim on your radar-- that is, if you haven't already been pulled in by their catchy, feel-good brand of pop-rock. Since getting together a decade ago, this trio of sisters have found airplay on both alternative and Top 40 radio and toured with Taylor Swift. They've earned the reputation for being one of the most promising "vintage rock" acts on the scene.

While there's certainly melody and catchiness in Haim's music, don't let their pop appeal fool you. These gals rock hard. Danielle Haim (lead vocals and guitars), Alana Haim (guitars, keyboards and more) and Este Haim (bass) have a nostalgic rock vibe-- think Fleetwood Mac or Feist. Add to that some New Wave and disco touches for good measure.

Curious? Take a listen to Something to Tell You, the just-released sophomore studio album from the sisterly trio.

"Each song has the same theme in three different perspectives, from three different women in three different parts of their lives," Alana told the New York Times. "This whole thing is 100 percent us. We wrote every word, every...."

"Melody," Danielle said in the same interview, finishing off her sister's sentence.

One of my favorite things about Haim are the bass lines. As a bass player, it's something I love to hear.

“People are like, ‘Wow—this bass face is really intense,’ ” Alana said in an interview with Vogue. “And we’re like, ‘Yeah—because she’s feeling every single note that she’s playing, and she’s getting up there and not being apologetic for who she is.’ My sister’s an amazing bass player.”

Keep in coming, please.
