NAMM 2011 Firebird X Winner Announced
Every year, the National Association of Music Merchants (or, NAMM) hosts the largest music trade show in America. This year, over the course of the four-day show, more than 85,000 attendees filled the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California. At the heart of this event, featuring the latest products and state-of-the-art technology, was Gibson Guitar. And no instrument drew more attention than the groundbreaking Firebird X.
Attendees had the chance to test drive the Firebird X guitar, as well as attend demos, which highlighted Firebird X’s Robot tuning, onboard effects and Bluetooth capabilities. And they were able to enter a contest to win their very own Firebird X. And now, we are pleased to announce the winner of that drawing: California’s very own André Lewis.
This was Lewis’s first trip to NAMM. As a player, he was drawn to some of the jaw-dropping technology on the guitar, which he called a “great innovation.”
“I just find that amazing that a guitar can tune itself,” Lewis told Gibson.com. “I was watching this guy play the guitar and I didn’t actually realize that those effects were built in the guitar.”
