WHO: Menudo is a legendary five-member, all-Latino boy band that exploded in the 1980s and gave superstars like Ricky Martin, Marc Anthony, and Robi Draco Rosa their start.

WHAT: Gibson Guitar was proud to join MTV Tr3s in the search for the next Menudo. After several years of dormancy, Menudo is being promoted as the big comeback act of the year. In early 2007, MTV held auditions in various cities to find the best male singers and dancers between the ages of 13 and 19, a process that was chronicled on the MTV Tr3s series The Road to Menudo. Hundreds of hopefuls auditioned for Making Menudo and in the end only 15 made it to the finals. Five young men were named to the group and will have the chance to make their dreams come true by recording an album, touring the world, and performing in front of millions of adoring fans. After a worldwide search the new Menudo rode in the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade to introduce the members on national TV. Today, the Gibson Tour Bus will take Menudo to Crestwood Middle School for a visit.

WHERE: Crestwood Middle School, 7100 Foxcroft Drive, Frederick, Maryland

WHEN: Monday, November 26, 2007-1:30 PM

WHY: Creators of Menudo held a nationwide contest where middle school music departments from all over the nation had the opportunity to choose one of Menudo’s hits and create their own rendition of  the original Menudo music. Crestwood Middle School was the lucky winner with their rendition of the early 80s hit "Hold Me," and today they'll be treated to a special appearance and performance by the new members of Menudo. Menudo will also bring a surprise donated by Gibson!
