WOMAD celebrated 10 years in Singapore with an exciting line-up including Youssou N’Dour, Asian Dub Foundation, Sheila Chandra, and many others from all corners of the globe.

A special part of the WOMAD experience this year was the Gibson Guitar Workshop, at the University Cultural Centre and the concert venue at Fort Canning Park.

Both sessions were conducted by Randolf Arriola, a highly sought after musician and instructor who has worked with local artists like X’Ho, Yeow, Opposition Party, the Padres, and the Suns.

The charismatic Arriola was able to give the attentive audience of music fans and aspiring musicians a tour of the Gibson family of the Slash Signature Model Les Paul, Larry Carlton Signature ES-335, SG ’61 Reissue, B.B. King Lucille, and the new Les Paul HD.6X-PRO, demonstrating the characteristics and prowess of each guitar.

Arriola also wowed the crowd with a “live” looping performance with his personal '69 Gibson Goldtop Les Paul before giving them the chance to check out the guitars on show.
