Robot Guitar Paris

Robot Guitar ParisThe Robot Guitar party in Paris started at 7 p.m on Wednesday, December 5. For many of the artists in attendance the occasion allowed them to meet with friends they hadn't seen for some ages. The long-awaited meeting between French guitar heroes Norbert Krief and Paul Personne was one of many happy meetings.

V2 Records recording artist Mäidi Roth performed four songs with her band from her recent successful CD, Un Pleu Plus Que Moi. Then, after a quick 10 minute break, the presentation of the Robot Guitar began. Philippe Musto made a technical presentation with Jansen Press's support. Then legendary guitarist Norbert Krief from the band Trust (which celebrated the night before with a sold-out 30th anniversary day-to-day of their first concert at the Olympia with a gig in the same place ) played a short set of his own songs using the Robot Guitar. Then he called for a jam session with some of his friends who were attending the event, among them the legendary Axel Bauer. Both made a very energic version of Led Zeppelin's "Rock 'n' Roll," Norbert playing the Robot Guitar and Axel Bauer an ES-355.

Finally, Norbert called for a jam session with the rest of the musicians attending the event for a tremendous version of "Honky Tonk Woman." On a tiny stage there were some 20 people singing and playing a rock anthem!
