Gibson Guitar and music event site Aloud.com once again rocked The Fly in London on Thursday 3rd April. The evening supports new bands and solo artists to perform in front of a specially invited music industry and press audience. Gibson Guitar supplies instruments for the bands and back line which includes a Slingerland drum kit.

Over the last few weeks Gibson signature artist Zakk Wylde has been on fire as he rolled around Australia on a sold out Ozzy Osbourne tour. Fans in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane were treated to a short film at the beginning of each concert before going nuts as the band weaved it’s way through solo and Black Sabbath classics such as Bark At The Moon, Suicide Solution, Road To Nowhere, I Don’t Know, Mr. Crowley, Crazy Train, I Don’t Want To Change The World, Paranoid and War Pigs.

On Sunday, April 6th, 2008 Gibson Guitar and Baldwin Piano celebrated another spectacular musical achievement at the 2008 Juno Awards live from the Calgary Saddledome, Canada. The show was broadcast nationally on the CTV Network and performers such as Aaron Lines, Gordon Bamford, Johnny Reid, Jacob Hoggard, Tom MacDonald, and Dave Rosin of Hedley and Rick Jackett of Finger 11 listened to fans scream and shout as they took the stage with some of the world's finest instruments.

Last week APRA, The Australian Performing Rights Association held it’s inaugural S3 Songwriters Summit in Sydney. Held over 3 days in the historic Royal Hall Of Industries, S3 featured over 1000 invited delegates, keynote speakers from across the local and international industry, seminars and workshops. Guests included Federal politician and Midnight Oil’s former front man/songwriter Peter Garrett, The Shins singer/songwriter James Mercer folk/pop sensation Sandi Thom and legendary songwriter Jimmy Webb amongst others.
