Gibson Guitar, presenter of Miami GuitarTown along with the city of Miami and Miami-Dade County, is proud to announce that Universal Music recording artist Paulina Rubio stopped by the Gibson Guitar Entertainment Relations Miami showroom to autograph the new completed “Hair Guitar” Les Paul Gibson sculpture.
Paulina Rubio, who is releasing her new album, “Gran City Pop” on June 23rd, is one of the world's most internationally recognized Latin celebrities. The first single, "Causa Y Efecto", is currently #1 on the hit radio charts of U.S. Latin, Mexico, Spain, Chile and Ecuador. She has received numerous nominations for the GRAMMY and Latin GRAMMY’s plus numerous Billboard awards. One of her most renowned songs was the 2002 English-language hit “Don’t Say Goodbye”, which granted her great recognition across markets and around the country.
Paulina launched her first fragrance this spring called Oro By Paulina Rubio, which is available in fine retail stores in the U.S., Mexico, Spain, South and Latin America.
The ten-foot tall “Hair Guitar” Les Paul, hand painted by artist Karen Ballmann, encompasses the hair band style with its animal prints, neon colors and of course long 80’s rock hair complete with the symbol every guitar needs; the rock on hand!
The autographed guitar will be part of the Miami GuitarTown’s display of ten-foot Gibson guitar sculptures and a series of showcase regular size Epiphone guitars artistically designed and painted by local and nationally acclaimed visual artists and placed throughout Miami. The project will unite the Miami art, music and business communities behind the opportunity to raise proceeds for three local charities: The Miami Music & Art Fund, Miami Children’s Hospital Foundation, and The Art and Culture Center of Hollywood.
