Number one selling British band The Fratellis recently took time out of their busy festival appearances to sign a specially designed hand painted Gibson SG guitar which is part of Gibson GuitarTown London charity campaign. The specially designed guitar titled “Baby Fratelli” by visual artist Sam Hadley was signed by The Fratellis before being displayed publicly at The O2 (formally the Millennium Dome in Greenwich).
The guitar is one of thirty Gibson SG’s on public display at The O2 and will go under the hammer at an auction event in November 2007 where all proceeds will be split equally between The Prince’s Trust, Teenage Cancer Trust and Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy.
The Fratellis have been on a sell out world tour promoting their number one selling debut album “Costello Music”. The band has performed at most of the major UK summer festivals such as T in The Park, Glastonbury, Ibiza Rocks and The V Festival. Their new single ‘Ole Black n Blue Eyes’ is out now.
