E Tuning Slide In Open Position, PT. 2
This lesson concentrates on the real Blues positions available to us in the open position of open E tuning. I have also focused on the use of the “fretted” notes, as well as their “open” counterparts. This is very important when it comes to understanding all of the improvisational possibilities available to you in this tuning, and in this position.
As a result, you’ll also get better at connecting your slide runs in a very fluid manner, and as always, concentrating on the all-important right and left-hand dampening that is so critical to clean slide playing. A “must” for all slide players!—Arlen Roth
