Gibson was proud to present the latest additions to GuitarTown, during a special unveiling ceremony held at The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville (July 7). GuitarTown, one of Nashville’s public arts project, features a total of 39 giant, 10-foot Gibson guitar sculptures, as well as 30 showcase guitars placed throughout the city.
The newest guitars which were unveiled and added to the project included 12 additional giant guitar sculptures, and all 30 showcase guitars. The showcase guitars are normal in size and feature designs from some of Nashville’s best and brightest visual artists.
The 12 newest 10-foot guitar sculptures were each partnered with a celebrity. Some of the celebrities, including Wynonna, Little Texas and Bill Anderson, all participated in the unveiling ceremony and signed their guitar sculptures.
Gibson’s GuitarTown project serves to unite the Nashville art, music and business communities behind the cause of raising money for numerous charitable organizations such as the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, the United Way of Metropolitan Nashville and The Downtown District.

The Tennessean's Brad Schmitt welcomes the crowd.
