Auction Gala Tickets to Star Studded Event Go on Sale in Early January
Nashville’s GuitarTown, Presented by Gibson Guitar, announced Champion Ford as the “Exclusive Automotive Sponsor” for the GuitarTown Auction Gala Event. This star-studded event will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2006 at BMI in Nashville, TN. and will benefit four local charities: The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum; The DISTRICT; Cystic Fibrosis Foundation; and United Way of Nashville. It’s a chance to bid on the guitar sculptures and showcase guitars and celebrate with the stars.
As part of the sponsorship agreement, the colorful guitar-inspired piece painted by artist, Paul Chase and signed by John Michael Montgomery, will be moved from its 318 Broadway location, in front of The Gibson Café, to the Champion Ford dealership on Charlotte Pike. The 10 foot guitar sculpture will remain there for the duration of the project.
Bruce Strassburg, Champion Ford GM, states that “Champion Ford is proud to support the GuitarTown Auction Gala Event. This project not only shows the importance of art and music but also the gift of giving. The sale of these wonderful guitars will help four very worthy charities.”
Beginning the week of January 2nd, 2006, a limited number of tickets for the Auction Gala Event may be purchased for $200 per person. The tickets include entrance to the VIP reception and auction, including food and libations; a VIP goody-bag filled with sponsor gifts; hob-knobbing with the stars and your chance to walk the red carpet and be on a one hour television program taping at the event. In addition, the colorful, limited edition, commemorative book titled “Nashville’s Guitar Art: The Art of a Music City Legend”, is on sale now. The book includes beautiful photographs of all of the guitar sculptures and showcase guitars. It also includes profiles of the visual artists, as well as quotes and photographs of the many Country music artists who supported this project. From Kenny Chesney to Wynonna, the book is a memoir of the project which has been recognized worldwide.
