The Elvis Guitar Has Been Found
05/18/2005

The missing guitartown sculpture recently taken from in front of Sony Music on Music Row has been found. The 10 foot tall Gibson Guitar sculpture painted by visual artist Alan Rhody depicting legendary greats Elvis Presley and Hank Williams Jr. was found on Wednesday, May 19th in front of a local day care in Nashville, Tennessee with a note from the pranksters on it explaining its return. Gibson Chairman and CEO Henry Juszkiewicz was thrilled to have the sculpture back and noted that no punishment will take place since the pranksters returned it before his original May 20th deadline. Since it was returned by that date no legal action will follow. A reward of $3,000 was originally mentioned for information leading to the arrest of the thieves if it was not returned by that date. Gibson Guitar is the presenting sponsor of the sculptures now gracing the city of Nashville and benefitting charity.
