The Gibson Foundation is committed to making the world a better place for children by creating, developing and supporting programs and other non-profit organizations in their efforts to advance education, music and the arts, the environment and health & welfare causes.


Please be aware that due to the large number of support requests to the Gibson Foundation, a minimum of 8 weeks lead time is required.

How does the Gibson Foundation select programs to support?

The Gibson Foundation actively seeks out programs to support that will be a direct fit to our Mission and goals, and evaluate each support application on a rigorous set of internal criteria.

But it is the responsibility of the applicant to provide complete and effective documentation as to why their program may fit the Mission of the Gibson Foundation, and thus be appropriate for consideration of support. Study our Mission statement (available on the Gibson Foundation Home page), and be thoughtful and persuasive in your BRIEF explanation as to why we should support your program.

Please be aware that we do not support organizations with specific religious or political affiliations, or those that seek to raise funds for individual benefit.

We only provide support to other federally determined 501(c)(3) non-profits.

How do I request support?

You MUST complete the appropriate form and submit as directed. Even if you wish to include custom information, it MUST be attached to a completed Donation Request Form. Only written submissions and completed forms will be given consideration. There are no exceptions to this requirement.

We realize that most of the MANY applicants for support are worthy organizations that care deeply about their cause. Please realize that we respect the work of the many charities in our community, even if we choose to allocate our resources in very specific directions.

How long before my event should I submit a request?

Requests for product donations for a charitable auction or event should be submitted along with the Donation Request Form at least 8 weeks prior to the event.

If you are seeking sponsorship or broader financial support of a program, a formal proposal should be submitted well in advance that emphasizes the specific consequences that will occur to our Mission and to our community directly resulting from the potential support.

How long will it take to get a response?

Donation requests are reviewed on a monthly basis at the close of each month. Notifications of approvals will be emailed to organizations no later than the 2nd week of the following month.

How can I check on the status of my request?

To check on the status, you can email the Gibson Foundation; please provide the name of your organization and date of your original request. You will get a response on status within 48 hours. Due to the large number of requests, we simply do not accept phone calls requesting information on status of donations.

If we have received a donation in the past, will it automatically be approved again?

No. There is no guarantee of current or future support implied by past support of an organization.

Is there an annual cut-off date for making requests for support?

No. You may request support for your organization at any time throughout the year.
