Web Developer / System Administrator, Full Stack .Net

Gibson Brands, Inc., the world’s premier manufacturer of musical instruments and professional audio equipment, is seeking a Full Stack .Net Web Developer / System Administrator.  This position is located in Gibson Brands, Inc., Global Marketing Headquarters in Nashville, TN.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with the development of scalable and maintainable responsive web applications optimized for multiple devices using Microsoft ASP.NET.
  • Manage production and staging web and database server environments on Amazon Web Services using Microsoft Stack (Windows Server 2008 r2 and 2012, and SQL Server 2008).
  • Support existing web applications (we use Kentico CMS, primarily) including bug fixing, required upgrades and modifications to existing functionality.
  • Participate in and act as Team Lead for requirements gathering, design, and development, release and defect resolution.
  • Work closely with design teams to optimize and improve user experience.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / SKILLS:

  • BS in CS or equivalent degree or related work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience developing and testing web applications on the Microsoft .NET platform (.Net Framework v4.x) using C# in a multi-tier environment.
  • 5+ years of advanced SQL development experience creating tables, stored procedures, views, and optimizing query performance using Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008.
  • 3+ years of experience managing Windows Server 2008/2012 via Amazon Web Services.
  • Experience adding/maintaining custom functionality to 3rd party systems
  • Strong Experience and Understanding of ASP.NET web services development.
  • Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JQUERY.
  • Experience with optimizing and fine-tuning high-traffic web sites for flawless user experiences.
  • Experience with using and managing Subversion VCS or similar
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, creative problem solver able to work independently when necessary.
