.NET Web Developer

Gibson Brands, Inc., the world’s premier manufacturer of musical instruments and professional audio equipment, is seeking a .NET Web Developer.  This position is located in Gibson Brands, Inc., Global Marketing Headquarters in Nashville, TN.

We are looking for a C# developer responsible for ongoing development of our family of C# web applications. This includes anything from back-end services to their front-end counterparts.

 

Your primary responsibilities will be to maintain, debug, and enhance these applications, and to coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality product is essential.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop scalable and maintainable web applications optimized for multiple user interfaces (pc, mobile, tablet) using clean, well-documented C#/ASP.NET code.
  • Support existing web applications including bug fixing, required upgrades and modifications to existing functionality.
  • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
  • Work closely with design and front end development teams to optimize and improve user experience.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / SKILLS:

  • BS in CS or equivalent degree or related work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience developing and testing web applications on the Microsoft .NET platform using C# in a multi-tier environment.
  • Experience developing with and extending 3rd Party Systems.
  • Experience developing ASP.NET web services.
  • Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/jQuery.
  • Experience with version control such as SVN
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, creative problem solver able to work independently when necessary.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services Management and Architecture a plus.
