DTC / E-Commerce Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:


The Manager of DTC/ E-Commerce will lead multiple web programs from proof of concept through production following the new product development process. The job involves frequent interaction with internal cross-functional team members, executive staff members, internal stakeholders, vendors, marketing, and sales teams. The scope of work will include, but is not limited to: creation and management of program schedules, task lists, and meeting minutes to track progress of the development activities; facilitating decision making discussions; leading design reviews; budget and cost review/tracking; providing summary details for executive staff meetings; communicating and coordinating development activities with the vendors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
·         Facilitate the project management function of the new product development process starting with concept through publication of webpages.
·         Develop and maintain program plans that identify work scope, schedules, budget/costs, milestones, and program team members.
·         Lead the program team by conducting regular team meetings, ensuring that action items/meeting minutes are published after each meeting.
·         Chair program reviews, technical coordination meetings and design reviews as required.
·         Ensure that programs stay aligned with the product specifications or drive an update to the product specification if required.
·         Act as the point of contact for web production to internal stakeholders and vendors.
·         Implement localized content to provide a localize web experience.
·         Other duties as assigned.
 
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Manager of DTC/ E-Commerce will have broad responsibilities in managing multiple programs that involve team members from all disciplines. The ideal candidate possesses the ability to promote collaborative decision-making, provide direction, and establish a sense of urgency within the program team. Must be able to objectively evaluate risks to program objectives and be comfortable making difficult decisions. The appropriate candidate can deal with a certain degree of ambiguity and is also capable of making sound business decisions with minimal guidance.
Must possess the following attributes:
·         Ability to calculate schedule and timelines for web production process.
·         Must be outgoing, self-motivated, well organized and detail oriented, work well under pressure, be an excellent communicator, and a creative problem solver.
·         Knowledge in Microsoft Office – Excel, Outlook and MS Project as well as the web development process is required.
·         Should be able to travel domestically and internationally with short notice on occasion, if required.
·         Flexible to accept other duties that may be assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
·         BS Degree in a computer science discipline or a minimum of 10 years in program or project management leading cross functional technical teams preferably in a web environment.
·         Experience interfacing development with content management system.
·         Experience in working in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
·         Experience with C#.NET development is beneficial.
·         Working knowledge of musical instruments and professional & consumer audio equipment is a plus.
·         Excellent internal and external communication skills.
·         Strong organizational skills with attention to project detail and the development of alternative plans to ensure satisfactory delivery of goods.
